What we do

We work at the intersection of plants, people and culture.

We bring people together to share and explore cultural and folk knowledge about plants.

We support community wellbeing and cohesion by connecting people to plants, herbal medicine and nature.

We try to find ways to increase accessibility to all of our activities

Here are some of the ways we are doing this:

We are cultivating a cultural food and medicine garden, growing herbs and food from around the world. We offer regular volunteer days at our community garden.

Starting in Summer 2025 we will be running a monthly culture club at the garden. You can find out more about our cultural food and medicine project here.

We offer ticketed sliding-scale learning opportunities focused on plant knowledge, including herbal medicine workshops, foraging walks and growing courses. All profits raised from these events help fund our community garden and work. See our learn with us page to find out more about what courses and workshops we currently have on offer.

We run affordable monthly community medicine making workshops and community plant walks. We are also planning to offer more free community events and resources.

See our what’s on page for a full listing of our upcoming events.

We facilitate funded wellbeing spaces in nature just for people of colour, incorporating herbs to support people’s wellbeing and resilience. You can read more about our work dedicated to people of colour and mixed heritage in Devon here.
